Operating a water system today has become a complex business in order to meet the myraid of Federal and State regulations relative
to water quality as established by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Health.
Water quality is of prime concern to assue that the water supplied is safe to drink and free of contaminants.
Water quantity is also a significant concern since, in addition to daily water needs of residents and businesses, large quantities
of water for fire fighting especially in commercial and industrial areas.
Maintaining water quality throughout a water distribution system requires trained and experienced personnel that are responsible for maintenance and repairs
that assures a continuous supply of safe potable drinking water. All of our field personnel are trained and certified under the requirements of the R.I. Deparment
of Health. To accomplish this, and as part of the certification program, ongoing training is required to keep up with changing technology.
Water quality is maintained and meets strict requirementsof the federal "Safe Drinking Water Act".
